Hello March! The sap is running, the TLV Sugar House is in full operation and we have made 30 gallons of syrup as of March 1st!  Yes this is early and amazingly enough, two weeks ago we were buried in snow!  A week of warm weather with a few days in the 60’s to end February put the pressure on to get tapped.  The tubing was strung and buckets hung in time to catch our first run at weeks end.  After a week of good sugaring weather we will take a break due to a three or four day cold snap.  If the forecast is right, we will be right back at it the beginning of next week with a nice stretch of perfect sugaring weather…days in the 40’s and nights in the 20’s. If you are in the area and the Sugar House is open, stop in for a taste of syrup fresh off the stove!
