Happy Thanksgiving! We hope you’ve enjoyed a beautiful fall and are ready for the fun and excitement of the holidays!
TLV has been put to bed for the winter. The golf course is closed, covers are on the greens and the benches are stored. The leaves are down and have been picked up. We had a little extra work as a powerful storm hit us at the end of October. High winds and heavy rain knocked out power for a couple of days. The brook overflowed, flooding the golf course and leaving lots of debris to clean up.
Looking ahead, we plan to have a crane come in for a day of tree work. The large pine trees in and around the cottages are being taken down…a few at a time each year. We will continue the renovations in Garden Gate and start on a kitchen project at AJK. Then there is always furniture to refinish and rocking chairs to repair! The list is always long!!
We have had our first dusting of snow and have woken up to mornings where the lake shoreline has been skimmed with ice. The loon flew off to their winter waters, but we still have ducks swimming around. The days are short and we know that winter is right around the corner!
We wish all of you a safe and wonderful holiday filled with family and friends, love and laughter!
