Happy June!!! It is hard to believe that in less than two weeks we will welcome Erin, Sam and their guests for their TLV wedding weekend. Right after that we will open the doors and officially begin our 120th season! We can’t wait!!!!
In the meantime TLV is buzzing with activity! It is that time of year when you cross one thing off the “to do” list and add three more! Porches are being painted, our spring cleaning team is hard at work, curtains are being hung and beds made, you’ll find Scottie and Hank somewhere on the grounds mowing, potential employees are stopping by for interviews and the list goes on! I think it safe to say that that every cottage and many of the Annex and Hotel rooms have something new, a renovation or a tweak of some sort and we challenge you to find the change when you arrive in your accommodation this summer!

We have some exciting announcements personnel wise. Tanner has joined the business full time. He will be baking this summer and I have heard rumor that he has a few new recipes ready to try. (But don’t worry, all the favorites will still be on the menu!) Dave Rayno is taking over the Golf Shop. He comes to us after spending many years working at the Country Club of NH and brings a lot of energy, a big smile and golf knowledge. Last, Laurie Brennan has taken over the Housekeeping Supervisor position. Laurie has been part of our linen house crew the past two summers and has quickly transitioned into her new role. If you run into her, don’t be surprised if she greets you with a big smile, a hello and a lifesaver candy from the bag she always carries!
TLV is unique and we pride ourselves on our fantastic families who return year after year to spend a week of their summer with us. It is because of you that we have been able to thrive for 120 years! This year however, we have had some unusual circumstances which have left us with last minute openings in both JULY and AUGUST!!!! You are our best spokespeople and we would like to use you to promote TLV. If you have a current reservation and “refer a friend” who ends up booking a stay in one of our open cottages, we will reduce your bill by up to $300!!! (Credit amount is based on the length of stay booked.) We do realize that some of you want to keep TLV a secret, but some secrets are meant to be shared!!! 🙂
Mother’s Day snow
We are looking forward to a warm and sunny summer (we have had more than our quota of cold, rain and even some snow on Mother’s Day!) filled with laughter and friends. To all of you joining us this summer, safe travels and we can’t wait to see you! To those we won’t see, we miss you and hope this finds you happy and healthy!
